What is a Good Way to Extend an HDMI Connection?

The Blustream UHD Multicast distribution platform is designed to support virtually latency-free (1 frame) distribution of HDMI video over a 1 GB Network switch. It is suitable for residential or commercial applications.

The IP200 UHD TX Transmitter and IP 200 UHD RX Receiver use visually lossless compression technology to deliver HDMI, bi-directional IR, RS-232, and USB/KVM over standard network architecture (single CAT cable) over distances as great as 100 meters.

Both devices can be powered via PoE from the network switch or powered using a local 24-56V power supply (sold separately) if the switch does not support PoE.

The system supports all known HDMI audio formats including Dolby Digital Plus and DTS-HD Master Audio transmission. It also has advanced signal management for independent routing of IR, RS-232, USB/KVM, audio and video.

Four operational modes:

  • Matrix distribution (requires 1 Gb network switch)
  • Video wall (requires 1 Gb network switch)
  • One-to-one HDMI extender (no network switch required)
  • One-to-many HDMI extender (no network switch required)
