The IMG graphite cone in the IC86's 8" woofer is a long-term favorite of ours because it's stiff enough to cut distortion to almost nothing, rugged enough to pump out incredible deep bass, and light and responsive enough to deliver unbelievably clear midrange and voice reproduction. Adept Audio's team married this incredible woofer to a pivoting, 1" aluminum dome tweeter, which is tough enough to keep up with the woofer yet agile enough to deliver the crystalline, ultra-realistic highs that demanding listeners expect.
