Explosion Proof Waterflow Detectors from Safe Signal
The WFDEXP is an aluminum housed waterflow detector, that is classified for use in Class I, II, and III hazardous locations. Built to be used indoor or outdoors, this switch is rated for use from 32 to 160 degrees.
Using only one conduit entrance, the WFDEXP has two sets of SPDT synchronized outputs housed in a rugged terminal block. This waterflow switch has its spring mechanism separated from the explosion environment so the sensitivity of the adjustment spring and detector is protected at all times. The retard mechanism is sealed to prevent the entrance of dust and dirt when the cover is removed. Visual switch activation allows the retard time to be easily verified.
WFDEXP waterflow switches can be purchased to function in pipe sizes from 2” to 8”. Optional accessories include replacement retard mechanisms, terminal blocks, and a replacement hardware kit with tamper screws, wrench and conduit plug.
