Honeywell Fire Alarm Power Supply Offers Many Options
The HPF-PS10 is a separate boxed fire alarm power supply with battery charger backup that can provide up to seven Class B Notification Application Circuits (NAC). Compatible with 12 VDC and 24 VDC controls, the HPF-PS10 has a variety of settings to provide the appropriate powering and supervision of NACs and other life safety components. Output circuits can be programmed to function as Class D door holder outputs, that will stop providing current to the door devices after input from the main fire panel to the HPF-PS10. Individual LEDs on the cabinet provide circuit trouble indication.
This power supply operates in UL 864, with all outputs Class 2 power-limited. The maximum total current available is 10 amps during alarm or 3 amps in standby. The power supply’s alarm functions are triggered by a polarity reversal from the main fire panel. The NAC circuits can provide Strobe Synchronization when using specific System Sensor, Gentex, Wheelock, and Amseco devices.
Up to four HPF-PS10 power supplies can be connected in a cascading manner for multiple or remote annunciation circuits, so the alarm activation of one power supply will activate the others connected to it.
The Honeywell HPF-PS10 is a UL listed full featured programmable power supply that can be added to existing fire alarm systems or included during the initial installation. With its separate power outputs and battery backup, fire alarm systems that need additional powered circuits for horn/strobes and/or door holder releases during alarm conditions, the HPF-PS10 will fit the bill.
