Qolsys Increases Fire Alarm Flexibilty With QS5517 Wireless Heat Detector
To provide comprehensive fire alarm sensor coverage for a client, smoke detectors generally provide faster detection of smoke particles than heat detectors. Basements, garages, and other dusty locations aren’t suitable for smoke detectors due to potential false alarms.
The QS5517-840 is a combined rate of rise and fixed 135-degree wireless heat detector. Compatible with Qolsys and Interlogix controls, this device provides rate of rise activation at 12 to 15 degrees per minute along with a fixed 135-degree sensor.
This device has an expected 10-year battery life, encrypted wireless communications using the 319.5 MHz encrypted wavelength, and is supervised every 62 to 68 minutes.
