What are NDAA-Compliant Cameras and NVRs and Who Makes Them?

NDAA is the National Defense Authorization Act, a set of federal laws passed every year involving the U.S. Defense Department. NDAA laws for recent years have prohibited the department from purchasing video surveillance cameras, network video recorders (NVRs) or other equipment manufactured by certain companies in the People’s Republic of China. Equipment using components or sub-components from those companies also is prohibited.

Some other government bodies and other entities also require NDAA-compliant equipment.
