Electrical Solutions by GRI

GRI manufactures a small variety of products for electrical applications, from current controllers to power transfer devices. Their newest items include the 15 AMP Current Controller Series and the low voltage switching devices.

The CC15 Series offers 15 AMP switching with five different voltage controllers: CC15-230VAC, CC15-115VAC, CC15-24VAC, CC15-24VDC, CC15-12VDC. These devices offer automatic current switching, primarily for switching appliance and lighting systems such as area lighting, LED lighting and environmental control units. It operates by monitoring the state of a low voltage switch that can be placed in remote locations such as a door or window. The appliance can be turned on or off with the closing or opening of that door or window. The low voltage switch circuit for this device is an electrically isolated battery (included) with a microprocessor controlled input. It can be switched from remote locations up to 1,000 feet away using low voltage applications. An open loop switch is required (not included), GRI has a complete line of open loop switches to meet your applications.

The Low Voltage Switching Device Series offers 2 Amp switching with 12 or 24 Volt DC.

The LVSD uses a form C relay that will power devices such as small motors, relays, fans, sirens, strobes and LED lights. The LVSD is capable of switching from 200’ away using small gauge wire. Open loop switch required (not included).

The LEDSD includes 2.1mm x 5.5mm connectors for use with LED lighting (puck, rope, strip, track and more). Ideal for cabinets, display cases, CCTV cameras, closets and pantries. Includes 3030-T open loop switch.

GRI's original controller, the CC-01 has a maximum output voltage of 125 VAC. Designed to automatically turn on lights in closets, pantries and cabinets. The CC-01 includes a 60-12 open loop switch. Other switches are CC-01-3030-T, CC-01-RB-02 or CC-01 NS (no switch included).

The CS-1 is a current sensor available in heat shrink which is connected in-line with your switches. They are also available built into several case models. If there is excessive current, exceeding .5 amp, the fuse will blow. In fail safe condition, the switch must be replaced. If there is high voltage above 60 volts, the SIDActor will clamp down, channeling any voltage above 60 directly to ground but will not cause the switch to fail or mis-operate and it will continue to work.

EZ Duct Raceway, junction boxes and power transfer devices round out this section.

EZ Duct is available in four sizes, 3/8”x3/8” mini, 5/8”x1/2”, 5/8”x1 ¼” and quarter round. GRI raceway comes in 6’ lengths and includes mounting screw holes and adhesive backing. It contains a UV stabilizer and flame retardant PVC and ABS UL 94-V-0. A quality, sturdy line of raceway.

GRI junction boxes are encased in a housing with barrier walls to prevent shorting and wire concealment. The 6600 is six terminals with cover, the 6601 is six terminals with tamper and cover.

GRI power transfer devices include heavy duty aluminum ends, stainless steel armored cable in two sizes, 0.218” ID/0.303 OD and the large size 0.313” ID/0.410 OD. They are available in a variety of lengths from 7” to 36”. Examples PTDC-7 standard, PTDCL-36 large.
